$ASTEROID: 7,431% in 6 hours, 80/100 canon, but social media is dead
Asteroid Shiba (ASTEROID) launched on the Binance Smart Chain just 1.1 hours ago and has already surged by 7,431%-this isn’t news; it’s panic buying in the first few minutes after listing. The price jumped from +25% in 5 minutes to +449% in an hour. A 24-hour volume of $10.5M with liquidity of only $203k results in a ratio of 51.5x, which means either a frenzied drain on liquidity or an imminent crash.
Distribution and Launch Checklist: A Rare, Textbook Launch
Here’s what’s been completed according to the canon checklist:
- Minting has been revoked-no more tokens will be minted
- Contract ownership has been revoked-the creator cannot freeze or drain the token via admin functions
- 0% fees-buy and sell without hidden commissions
- The top 10 holders own 16.1%-a healthy distribution, not concentrated in a few hands
- Deployer holds 0%-the creator has no hidden advantage
- Already 9,248 holders in one hour-this is genuine interest, not a fake
Launch quality: score of 80/100 with 74% awareness. This is a rare result-meaning the creators didn’t build in classic scam mechanics. But this does NOT guarantee protection against a rug pull.
Bearish scenario: peak risk window
Three red flags are flashing simultaneously:
- A price increase of +25%+ in one hour-according to our database-leads to a rug pull in 83% of cases (n=18). A 2x+ increase in the first 24 hours occurs in only 2% of cases.
- No social media presence-no Twitter, no Telegram, no website. The token is rising in a vacuum, without any informational support. This indicates either a lack of marketing or an anonymous launch.
- Age of 1.1 hours-the window of maximum rug pull risk. Our engine flags tokens younger than one day with a +0.8 increase in the probability of a rug pull. Over the course of a week of analysis, 4 out of 4 tokens in the 7-8 score range with an age of <48 hours crashed by 70-99%.
The main question: where does the 51x volatility in volume come from? Either there’s a powerful network of buyers behind the token (smart money, large traders), or it’s a bot-driven pump to allow insiders to dump their holdings. Without social media, the latter is more likely.
Bullish context: a canceled mint prevents a classic theft
According to our statistics, a revoked contract ownership adds +0.56 to the pump probability (n=12). 33% of such tokens rise 2x+ within the first day. A healthy distribution (top 10 < 25%) is also historically a pump signal.
The first token from a deployer in our database shows neither positive nor negative signs-just uncertainty.
Risks
- A price increase of +25% or more within an hour-83% of such tokens experience a rug pull. This isn’t an opinion; it’s a statistic based on 18 cases.
- Age of 1.1 hours-the peak window for rug pull risk. After 48 hours, the risk drops by an order of magnitude.
- FDV of $3.66M with liquidity of $203k-an 18x ratio, sufficient for launch and trading, but insufficient to protect against a last-minute dump of the entire LP.
- No social media presence-real-world demand is unknown. The growth could be driven by insiders or bots.
- Proxy contract-a minor red flag on the checklist, but for such a new token, it could also be an attempt to circumvent sanctions or filters.
UTS score: 70/100-above average thanks to the canceled mint and clean distribution. However, this contradicts the -0.8 rug score for a token less than 24 hours old. The engine detects patterns but does not guarantee a rug pull.
