On-Chain Analysis for Beginners: Where to Start When Reading a Blockchain

The main advantage of an on-chain market is that everything is out in the open. Who holds the assets, who’s selling, and where the liquidity has gone-it’s all public. Degen traders lose money not because of a lack of data, but because they’re unwilling to look.

Getting Started

• Blockchain explorer (Solscan/Etherscan): track holders, deployer transactions, and liquidity flows. This is the primary source-everything else is just an interface to it.
• DEX Scanners: charts + pool metrics + security indicators all on one screen. A quick filter for junk.
• Contract checkers (GoPlus and similar tools): automatically detect honeypots, taxes, and owner rights.
• Bubble maps: visualization of wallet connections-exposes suppliers who “distribute” funds among their own wallets.

Three checks before buying

1. Distribution: Top 10 holders. If more than 40-50% is held in linked wallets-you’re the exit liquidity. 2. Liquidity: Pool size, lock-up period, who contributed. 3. Deployer: their history-previous tokens and how they turned out (our engine does this automatically-it analyzes deployers’ track records).

Ten minutes of these checks filter out most scams. The track record teaches us the rest-for better or worse.
